Mandala of Time and Space

Manhattan Gallery, Łódź, Poland, 2001
steel, water electric engine, two video projections
500 x 80 x 400 cm

A wheel set in motion was ‘grinding’ water. Two video projections were completing it, in which the round movement of objects was an axis of the story. Round movement, eternal carrying on, the passage of time, constant returning to the same point. The wheel in the gallery is spinning as the unsuccessful perpetual motion machine, is ‘pouring water in vain’, trying at all costs to spin closer to one’s ideal.
